While the Galveston folks are getting a beat down like Tina Turner, they are not the only ones fighting floods this week-end. I too am currently waging a war against the water, which is trying to flood my basement. Hopefully I have taken care of the root cause since we are expecting more rain tomorrow. Luckily, I was able to borrow my neighbors wet vac and have been busy all afternoon/ evening/ night trying to dry things out. At least I have been able to watch the Twins game while I work at turning the tide.
The other thing I was able to catch a few minutes of (which helped to improve my mood a bit) was the Big Lebowski! Of course, all of this unexpected drama kept us from going to see the latest Cohen Bros film “Burn After Reading.”
