nice to see the World Champ win a stage here in ‘America…Fuck Yeah!’ Talked to King James and I think we are gonna head up to Santa Clarita on Saturday for the end of Stage six. A little Magic at the Mountain. Tomorrow is the day though, who will challenge Levi for the TT title? I mean no doubt that Levi is flying, but when you have current and former World Champion Time Trialists it should be interesting. It is too bad that Dave Z. isn’t in the mix anymore. Come to think of it CSC is pretty stacked with TT talent, between Dave, Fabian, Bobby and Jens (and that is just off the top of my head).

So the Tour of Cali finished in Sacramento today, I am sure that Arnold was out there to greet Levi on the GC podium. Below is a photo of the Tower Bridge which is a landmark in that fair city. Oddly enough I didn’t come across this photo as the result of any search related to the race. Instead I was researching HDRI (High Dynamic Range Images). That is the same kind of photo as the Tokyo image I posted recently. I miss my camera, really wish I could afford to run right out and get myself a Nikon D70 or some such.

In any case getting back to Sacramento, I drove through there last summer when we were on our way up to Mt. Hood for the NRC race up there. Until then I never realized that it is actually a port city. I never suspected this since it is so far inland. After a little inspection of Wikipedia I got an answer to a question I’ve alway’s had which why the hell is Sacramento the capital of Cali instead of LA or San Fran. It seems that it was actually the first city to incorporate in Cali in 1850. The more you know…
