December 2006

even though it’s not really your birthday. And even though people continue to worship you rather than trying to emulate your behavior.

Chicago Christmas

Reminds me of what Ghandi said shortly before his death.

“They [the Indian people] will follow me in life, worship me in death, but not make my cause their cause.”

Ahh, whatchya gonna do? We might be the smartest beasts on this planet, but that may not be saying much. Besides everyone knows the new American religion is comercialism. We worship the almighty dollar and the bill of goods they sold us.
Anyway, it’s Christmas and I am up early. In fact, this is probably the earliest I have been up on Christmas since I was an excited little kid impatient to see what Santa brung meh! I must say, Tiny Tim would have been happy with my right proper British breakfast of bangers and beans while catching up on some episodes of HBO’s ‘Extras’.
We went to Sabrina’s God parent’s house last night for dinner and will have dinner with her Mom today. I’ve already done some journaling and yoga. Now I am going to go for a sipin before I returning home to clean the house. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Back on another Tool kick, can’t get enough of Maynard. I just noticed that Wikipedia has a nice bit of background info in some the song lyrics. The Nard is one deep dude and I would definitely invite him to my party.

Tool

man, I told that Kraut a thousand times I don’t roll on Shabbos! I will however work on Sunday’s if I have to, and so here I am working on Sunday. I am still hopefull that I can get out to see the Blackhawks tonight with Blake and Laura. (a hope that was dashed by entirely too much work)

Still have some running around to do today as well. Right now I am waiting for some DB queries to export out to Excel with all of the updates I need to make before tomorrow afternoon.
