I was really expecting more kids to come round in this neighborhood. I mean I see truck loads of em wandering past each morning on their way over to Orrington Elementary School around the corner from us. I guess it could be worse, my sweet tooth should be nicely satisfied through the end of the year. Ole Bandick has sort of layed down the gauntlet with this whole November Blog a Day non-sense. Maybe just what the doctor ordered. I just have been so unmotivated to spend time fixing up this broken down blog after spending hours and hours working on this laptop. Still even logging in here can make me happy. I should point out that on my login screen I get random quotes from The Big Lebowski (damn I can’t believe that movie is almost 10 years old already), like this one…”Shit, I know that guy. He’s a nihilist. Carl Hungus…” Cracks me up everytime!

The week-end is over (as signified by the Family Guy rerun). It was a good week-end as far as being productive, but of course it was altogether too short. Friday night we kicked it off by going to the gym where I over did it on the squats (because lets face it when you have not been doing any, even doing a few is overdoing it). I did manage to get myself a massage on Saturday. It was a little more stressful process than I had expected since Sabrina had the car and I showed up at the L station running a bit late only to find that the purple line was down for the week-end. In the end it turned out ok. Today Sabrina spent much of the day decorating the house so as to cause the local kiddies to fudge their shorts. I alternated between catching up on work (mostly reading unapplicable training docs) and cleaning this messy crib. We did at least get to have a nice breakfast at our local Nawlins style restaurant (I had my Southern Eggs Benedict mmm). Also this afternoon we went for a ride up towards Ravinia. Now I am exhausted and ready for sleep which I guess is as it should be. I just thought I should at least try to breathe some life into this pathetic excuse of a blog.
BTW I found this pic of our 2k6 team

at the Tampa Int’l airport. As long as our flight is an hour late at least it helps pass the time. The weather was hot and beautiful, but sadly Sabrina was far too busy for us to get away to the beaches. Now it is off to prepare to hunker down for a long cold winter (why was it we left Cali?)!
