I went out for our local Wednesday night ride expecting that it would be a little more social. For me the season is over after Downer’s Grove and usually I am not even riding my bike for a couple weeks after that. I didn’t race much this year so that isn’t the case for me. In any case, yesterday the windy city lived up to it’s name. By the end of the ride I figure we only had just over half the guys who started. I was glad to see that I was able to lay it down pretty hard a few times. Once in particular in trying to get into the break. The second in pulling back a break that I had missed. There was a hint of fall in the air though and it has me thinking I should get a cross bike here. Then I would not have any excuse when the weather turns a bit ugly.

we went to Downer’s Grove last week-end for the Crit Nationals. Saw Hilton Clarke win the Pro race (with Brad Huff taking the Jersey). Unfortunately, we missed the Elite Amateur race which was a real shame because my teammate Kayle Leogrande won it!

I am happy to report that our stuff has finally arrived safely here to our new home. Most especially I am gratefull to have my coffee maker returned to me. Also, once I find the box with all of my clothes it will be nice to not wear the same clothes I have been restricted to over the last 2 months. Especially when I only packed expecting to need them for two weeks at the most. So our move is almost complete. Now we just need to finish unpacking and then we can start to accumulate even more stuff, because after all we have a bigger house which is in need of more numerous things ;0)
