January 2006

I have been on call for work this week-end and it has been quiet, so I guess I can be thankful for that. I sure would like another day before going back to work though. Oh well, at least when I am keeping busy working I am not thinking so much about the training/ racing that I am missing. I went over to my Coach/ friend Dave Brinton and his wife Jasmine’s house today to celebrate both their birthday’s. I can’t wait until he and I get a chance to get back out there on the bike again. Of course, I am frequenting the cycling web sites as the season is getting ready to get fired up. In fact, a couple of my teammates have already been competing in the first stage race of the season. Below is a picture of one them Josh Horowitz shown interviewing George Hincape for the web-zine “PEZ Cycling News

Last I saw Josh was sitting in 5th one spot behind fellow teammate Dan Vinson in the Nelson’s Landing Stage Race.

After a bit more surfing on PEZ, I came across this interview with my homeboy, author and musician Mike Ward , pictured below with his boy Tennessee.

For the next four months I get to be the younger man ;0) I know that last year was a difficult one for my baby. I hope that this one is one of the best. It will certainly be one of the busiest as we sell this house and re-locate (probably twice) in Chicago.

Baby you have always been first class in my book!

As you can surely see, I’ve been up to no-good. I promised a major renovation of the blog and I am well on my way. I am still in the tinkering phase with the design, but I have also upgraded the site to WordPress 2.0 The Duke, ya baby! Next I have to work out the CSS.
