Got some props on the front page of the Disney Portal. Unfortunately, if you are not a Disney employee you won’t be able to logon. The e-mails from my colleagues have already started. It’s really a bit much for a humble guy like me ;0)
In sadder news, a couple weeks back when we were at the hotel in Santa Monica, I went for a ride up the PCH to pre-ride the Triathalon course where I rode through the aftermath of this accident. The accident involved one of my fellow La Grange club members Scott Bliefer.

…and now Los Angeles is on fire again. I can see the fire across the way in Burbank right now.
I swear I had just closed my eye’s and then suddenly my alarm was going off. I was in complete denial of course. No, that can’t be my alarm. Oh, I know, I must have accidentally left it set to 4:30 from my triathalon on Sunday. No wait, it was definitely set for 5 on Monday and Tuesday. Crap, that means it’s 5 now. At least I knew that I had my favorite organic Breakfast Blend of Seattle’s Best to look forward to. The last couple of days have been twelve and thirteen hour days and I am feeling it. I think today I am going to try and stand firm on stopping after an eight hour day. I really need to get out on my bike for a ride. It’s already time for me to start my winter training program. I am actually thinking that I am going to race next year. I am taking one last shot at getting my category one upgrade for my license. I know that I am capable of getting it, but it will require a level of dedication that I have not exhibited in the last couple of years. Including lot’s of yoga and core strength building activities such as ab crunches and push ups. Oh well, I am bored without doing these things.

In other news. We are thinking that instead of going to the mid-west for the holidays this year (since we will be there for the next foreseeable future of holidays) we are considering a trip to Maui. Afterall, it’s still a pretty long flight from here, but this is as close as we are going to be as far as a departure point. Plus, if we do start with the family making once in Chicago, we will likely not have any of these trips in us for quite awhile. ;0)
contractor MIA. So I couldn’t wait any longer. I was like a kid waiting for Christmas, so I finally broke down and put together our new bathroom vanity and installed the sconces. Anyway, here is a photo of our new bathroom almost in an almost completed state.

On other fronts, I finally competed in the Malibu Triathalon today. We finished 2nd overall for male relay teams, and first in the Entertainment Industry Challenge which helped to net Disney the Industry Challenge Cup for the 3rd or fourth year running. I will link the results once I see they are posted.
