I do believe that this may lead to the demise of Shotgun Golf’s aspirations of developing into a national past time.

Well, the Valley of the Sun stage race (or VOS as we call it) is happening this week-end. And while I may not be racing it for the first time in the last eight years (& 9 of the last 10) I will be going to support my teammates and generally socialize.

I just hope there is actually some sun for the event as it looks like rain is a distinct possibility. It will be nice to catch up with everyone and check out the new Malee’s. Unfortunately Mrs. Blog may not be making the trip now as she has had an adverse reaction to some awful antibiotic that never should have been prescribed to her Levaquin.

Jon was the photographer who took this picture of Pipeline. This is also approximately where he died on Feb 10th 2005, while photographing at the ‘Backdoor’ break which is over a shallow reef. Apparently he also had a nasty tangle with a Tiger Shark several years ago which required 20 stiches. He was only 33 and left behind a wife and children.
