I wanted to write about Kerry and this perception of him as a flip flopper and make comparison to Reagans ultimate flip flop. I just don’t feel like it now. I watched Kerry’s acceptance speech the other night. I was going to vote for him anyway as I think that Bush is at best useless and at most potentially dangerous. What I was surprised by was the level of passion I am now feeling about Kerry. I believe that he has leadership qualities beyond Bill Clinton’s. Whereas Bill is a great orator with tons of charisma, i feel that Kerry is a leader in every sense of the word. He is a man who has devoted his life to service to his country. Hopefully he can bring back the level of respect to the White House that has been absent since Nixon destroyed it almost thirty years ago. Well, I’ve got to go to the store now. Going surfing tomorrow!

I can’t believe that I haven’t updated this blog all week. Wednesday I had to go downtown for jury duty. It was a pretty long day and in the end I was not selected for any jury groups. It was pretty cool to hang out downtown though as I never really have a reason to be down there in the middle of the day. I tried to go and check out the MOCA since they let jurors in free, but they were closed for the day. In the meantime, Lance managed to blow away the competition and claim his sixth Tour de France. Or at least he will tomorrow after the ceremonial finish on the Champs aux Lysee. Tonight we are going across the street to have a little party at the neighbors. I can’t believe after all of this time we are going to make good on our threat to get together with them. They are an interesting couple who have done an outstanding job of remodeling there house. When we first moved in there garage was a disaster. The previous tennents set fire to it. Luckily he is a set designer here in Hollywood and got his education in furniture design. The guy really just has a great eye. They are very inspiring for me to get off my butt and do some remodeling around our joint here.
